Theory :-
For an arithmetic progression, if
a = First term of the A.P
d = Common difference of the A.P
Then,
Tₙ = (a + (n - 1)d) where Tₙ = nth term of the A.P
Solution :-
For the given A.P
T₁₅ = T₁ + (15 - 1)d = 75
T₄ = T₁ + (4 - 1)d = 20
Where
T₁ = First term of the A.P
d = Common difference of the A.P
T₁₅ = 15th term of the A.P
T₄ = 4th term of the A.P
So,
On subtracting (2) - (1)
We get,
11d = 55
or, d = 5
Hence, common difference of the given A.P is 5.
