Answer:

Common difference can't be defined.

Step-by-step explanation:

Here,

General term of APs is defined by 4n - n^2.

It means : for all the natural values of n, 4n - n^2 will contribute for an AP ( for consecutive n(s) ).

  For n = 1

        4n - n^2

      ⇒ 4( 1 ) - ( 1 )^2

      ⇒ 4 - 1

      ⇒ 3  = first term

  For n = 2

       4n - n^2

     ⇒ 4( 2 ) - 2^2

     ⇒ 8 - 4

     ⇒ 4

 For n = 3

      4n - n^2

   ⇒ 4( 3 ) - 3^2

   ⇒ 12 - 9

   ⇒ 3

Since these terms don't follow any rule, they are not AP.
