given that a=2 ,an=29,S=155 ,,,we know that .....
Sn =n/2(a+ an)
155=n/2(2+29)
155=n/2(31)
155/31=n/2
5=n/2
10=n
now, an=a+(n-1)d
29=2+(10-1)d
29-2=9d
27/9=d
3=d
therefore the common difference is 3
