In an arithametic progression if, 10th term is 41 and 20th termis81, then find commondifference and first term

Answer:

a+9d = 41 ...... (1)

a+19d= 81 ...... (2)

(2) -(1) => 10d=40

d=4

substitute d in (1)

a+ 9×4=41

a+36=41

a=41-36

a= 5

a=5, d=4
