Using the formula, an= a+(n-1)d
a is the first term and d is common difference
a₉ = a+(9-1)d = a+8d------(i)
a₂ = a+(2-1)d = a+d-------(ii)
(i)-(ii) = 35
Solving d=5
a₅ = a+4d = 17
putting the value d=5 and solving
a=17-20=-3
AP is -3,2,7,12,17,........
