Answer:

an = 4n +2

a1 = 4+2 =6 ( putting n =1)

a2 = 8+2 = 10 ( putting n =2)

d = a2- a1

d = 10 -6 = 4

Now sum of terms is :

sn = n/2 {2a +(n -1 ) ×d)

PUTTING THE VALUES

sn = n/2 { 12 +( n-1) × 4}

sn = n/2 { 12 + 4n -4}

sn = n/2 { 8 +4n}

ANSWER : sn = 4n + n ^2
