S.I. unit of speed is m/s

So we need to convert all the values to S.I. unit

Distance =2.5 km=2.5×1000=2500.0 meters

Time=5 minutes= 5×60=300 meters

We know that ,

Speed=\dfrac{Distance}{Time}

= \dfrac{2500}{300}

=8.33\:m/s

Hence speed =8.33m/s

❤hope it helps you ❤

meenalramasamy: It is wrong
meenalramasamy: The time is 5mins that is to hrs is 5by60
meenalramasamy: Not 5*60
meenalramasamy: And it will be easy to do like the below one
Ramlayaksingh3: I am converting it to seconds not hours
Ramlayaksingh3: both answers are correct
Ramlayaksingh3: you gave answer in km/h but I gave answer in m/s

A man covers 2.5km in 5 minutes. what will be the speed in km/ hr?

Speed = Distance / Time

Distance = 2.5 km

Time = 5 mins or 5/60 hour ( we have to convert the time to hours as the required answer is in km/hr)

Thus,

Speed = 2.5* (60/5)

= 30 km/hr
