Given:

Real area of the map = 1994400 m²

Dimensions of the page = 25 cm, 30 cm

To find:

The scale to which map is drawn

Calculation:

Area of the page occupied by atlas map = (1/5)×25×30

                                                                    = 150 cm²

Area of 150 cm² on the atlas map represents 1994400 m² in the real map

Area of 1 cm² on the map represents = 1994400 m² / 150 cm²

                                                              = 13296 m² : 1 cm²

Ratio of lengths = √(real area / map area)

                          =  √13296 m² / 1 cm²

                          =  115.3 m / 1 cm

Scale = 1 cm = 115.3 m

The scale to which map is drawn is 1 cm = 115.3 m
