2K 8L 8M 2N

Here means..

=> 2K = 1s2

=> 8L = 2s2 + 2p6

=> 8M = 3s2 + 3p6 +3d0

=> 2N = 4s2
_______________

For s, m =0 is 1

And For p, m= 0 is 1..

So.. Totally.. Each s,p has m= 0 and 2 electrons with spins +½ and - ½

2K has = 1 electron at m=0 ; s= +½

8L has = 2 electrons at m=0 ; s =+½
(since, S and P both are present)

8M has = 2 electrons at m =0 ; s= +½

2N has = 1 electrons at m=0 ; s=+½

So total number of electrons at

m= 0 and s =+½ is (1+2+2+1)=6

Answer:

6

Explanation:

no. of e− ( given ) = 2+8+8+2=20

configuration : [ 1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p6 4s2 ]

m=0, s=+1/2

⇒  number of e− = 6
