Answer:

37:38.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the no. of votes B got be X

then, A will get +400

So, B= X

A=X+400

Since the total number of votes is 30000

A+B=30000

X+(X+400)=30000

By solving we get 14800

So, A:B=15200:14800

=38:37

Answer:

Hey mate here is your solution.

Ratio is 37:38.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have: Total no of votes polled is 30000.

Candidate B gets 400 votes more than candidate A

Let candidate A get x votes.

Therefore candidate B gets x + 400 votes.

2x+400=30000

Solving we get x = 14800.

Candidate A got 14800 votes.

Candidate B got 15200 votes.

Hence the ratio is 14800/15200= 148/152 = 27/38.

The required ratio is 37:38.
