In an election between two candidates,one of the candidates got 55 percent of the total valid votes.20 percent of the votes were invalid.If the total number of votes was 7500,then the number of valid votes the other candidate got was?

Valid votes for candidate 1 = 55/100x 7500 = 4125
invalid votes                      = 20/100x 7500 = 1500
so,the votes secured by the second candidate is = 7500 - (4125+1500) = 1825
