Let the votes casted for A be a and for B be b
Now total votes =18000
Atq,
a=2(18000-a-b) =2(a-b)
a=2(a-b)
a=2a-2b
a=2b... (I)
a=2(18000-a-b)
2b=2(18000-2b-b)
2b=36000-6b
8b=36000
b =4500
Now
a=2b
a=2*4500
a=9000
So, votes for A is 9000 and for B is 4500
