In an election contested by two candidates, one candidate got 38% of the total votes and still lost by 480 votes, then find the total number of votes casted?

Answer:Per cent of votes cast =100%−8%=92%

Winner got 48% of the total votes.

⇒ Loser got (92−48)% i.e. 44% of the total Votes.

Difference =4%

Given, 4% of total votes cast =1100
