Let the Total Number of Votes be : V

Given : A Candidate gets  43.5% Votes and defeated by 3744 Votes

⇒ The Defeated Candidate got 43.5% Votes of the Total Votes

⇒ 43.5% of Total Votes \bold{= (\frac{43.5}{100}\times V) = 0.435V}

⇒ The Winner Candidate got : (V - 0.435V) Votes

⇒ The Winner Candidate got 0.565V Votes

Given : The Defeated Candidate was Defeated by 3744 Votes

⇒ The Difference between the Winner Candidate Votes and Defeated Candidate Votes should be Equal to 3744

⇒ 0.565V - 0.435V = 3744

⇒ 0.13V = 3744

⇒ V = 28800

⇒ The Total Number of Votes are 28800

⇒ The Number of Votes of Winner Candidate are : 0.575V

⇒ (0.575 × 28800)

⇒ 16560
