we know that in equilateral triangle,all sides are equal
then as shown in fig
AB=24 cm= BC= AC
Now, as AD is median
so, BD= BC/2=12 cm
and angle ABD= 60° and angle ADB= 90°
so, AB^2=√(BD^2+AD^2)
AD=√(AB^2-BD^2)
=√(576-144)
=√(432)
=20.78 cm
