In an examination 2500 student appeared out of which 1100 were girls. 50% of boys and 40% of the girls passad the examination. what % of the candidate failed in the examination.

no of boys who passed the exam= (1400*50)/100= 700

40% of the girls passed the exam,

No of girls who passed the exam= (1100*40)/100= 440

total no of students who passed= 700+440= 1140

no of students who failed the exam= 2500-1140= 1360

percentage of students who failed the exam= (1360/2500)*100%= 54.4%.

Ans=54.4%
