In an examination 50% of the students passed in Mathematics and 70% of students

passed in Science while 10% students failed in both subjects. 300 students passed in

atleast one subject. Find the total number of students who appeared in the examination,

if they took examination in only two subjects​

Given Average students = 300

So now Students in maths = 50% of 300 = 50/100 × 300 = 150 students

Also students in science = 70% of 300 = 70/100× 300 = 210 students

Also failed students = 10% of 300 = 10/100 × 300 = 30 students.

SO NOW TOTAL STUDENTS = 150 + 210 + 30 = 390 .

So total students = 390.
