BE BRAINLY

in an exam, if 90% of people passed then 10% of people failed

We know that 80 students failed.

Let total candidates be x

Therefore

10% of x = 80

(10/100)x = 80

x = 80 × 10

x = 800

Therefore there were 800 candidates.
