The total number of candidates who appeared in exam,is 1840

Given data :

Passed = 95%

Failed = 92

So,

Failed students percentage = (100% - 95%) = 5%

Now,

5% = 92

1% = 92/5

100% = 92×100/5

100% = 1840 (answer)
