400 marks
Now, he failed by 15 marks which means 125+15 is the passing marks=140
Therefore,
140 => 35%
? => 100%
?= (100*140)/35
Therefore answer is 400

As candidate got 125 marks and failed as he is short by 15 marks to get pass and pass percentage is 35%
So Total marks required is 125+15 =140
Therefore to get 35% we need 140
So full marks = 140/35% = 400 marks
So required answer is 400 marks
