in an examination a student requires 40% of the total marks to pass if Rupa gets 185 marks and failed by 15 marks find the total marks

let total marks are x

rupa's marks= 185

passing marks = 185+15=200

so 200/x =  40 /100

(200*100)/40 =x

500=x

total marks=500
