Given :   In an examination hall there are 4 rows of chairs. Each row has 6 chairs one behind the other.

There are 2 classes sitting for the examination with 12 students in each class.

It is desired  that in each row, all students belong to the same class and that    no two adjacent rows are allotted to the same class.

To Find :  In how many ways can these 24 students be seated

Solution:

1st Row can be occupied in two ways  

After that alternate classes accordingly .

2 Ways

12 students of one class  can be arranged in 12! ways

12 students of another class  can be arranged in 12! ways

Total Ways = 2 x 12! * 12!
