In an examination Karan got 10 marks more than Bhavana. Isha got 5 marks less than Bhavana. If trio get a total of 170, then what is the marks obtained by Isha?​

Answer-

let the marks obtained by bhavana be= x

then, according to question

the marks obtained by Karan will be=

x +10

and, the marks obtained by Isha will be= x-5. ------------------------------(a)

now,

= x+x+10+x-5=170 (given)

= 3x+5=170

= 3x=170-5

= 3x=165

= x=165/3

= x=55

now,

above in (a) we assumed the marks obtained by Isha= x-5

therefore,

marks obtained by Isha = x-5

= 55-5

= 50

Isha obtained 50 marks.
