In an examination of certain number of questions, a student replied 24 out of 25 questions correctly of the remaining questions, he answered two - fifth correctly. All the questions have the same credit. If the student gets 75%marks,what are the total number of questions, when each question carry one marks?

So let the total no. of ques be x
remaining ques will be (x-25)
24+2/5(×-25)=75x/100
solve the above equation you will get 40.
