Let the maximum marks be x
marks scored by rahul=45%×x=45x/100
------------------------john=24x/100
difference in marks =45x/100-24x/100=21x/100
actual difference in marks =30+96=126
.°.ATQ
21x/100=126
=>x=126×100/21=600

.°.maximum marks=600
minimum marks =24/100×600=144+96=240
