To determine the calorific value =150000 J / 50kg


Calorific value= 3,000 J/kg


Calorific value is normally measured using a type of calorimeter known as the bomb calorimeter.

This is arrived at when a of a known mass of fuel in the calorimeter is ignited which then is used to heat water and the initial and final temperature are recorded.
