When a solid is immersed in water 4 forces act on the body given as: (weight of the block, and downward thrust due to pressure of liquid on upper surface)⇒both in downward direction
(tension of spring which is used to measure the weight in spring balance ,and buoyancy)
According to Archimedes principle: " A body immersed in a liquid looses weight by an amount equal to weight of the liquid displaced. "
The experiment is performed and we get the following outcomes
1. When a body is partially or completely immersed in water it looses weight.
2. It looses maximum weight when completely immersed.
3. More the density of liquid in which the body is immersed lesser is the             displaced water.

Two precautions that are needed to be taken for this experiment are:
1. While immersing the block in both the liquids care should be taken that the      liquid doesn't spills.
2. Reading of spring balance in both the cases should only be taken when         the spring balance is stable.
