In an object of 10 cm height is placed at a distance of 36cm from a concave mirror of focal length 12 cm.Find the position,nature and height of the image.

given h2(height of object)=10cm
u=-36cm
f=-12cm
we know 1/f=1/v+1/u
therefore 1/v=1/f-1/u
(-1/12)-(-1/36)
=-18cm
v=-18cm
image is real and inverted
now m=-v/u=h1/h2
therefore h1=5cm
