The average salary of all the literate (educated) and illiterate employees is decreased by ` 10 per day, then the number of educated employees working in the organisation is 10.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the no. of literate employees be “x” and the average salary of literate employees be “y”.

The initial average wage of 20 illiterate employees = 25

The initial average salary of all the employees

= [xy +20*25]/[x+20]

= [xy+500] / [x+20]  ..... (i)

It is given that the average wage of illiterate employees decreases to 10.

The average salary of all the employees after the reduction of salary

= [xy +20*10]/[x+20]

= [xy+200] / [x+20]  ..... (ii)

According to the question we have,

[The initial average salary of all the employees] – [The average salary of all the employees after the reduction of salary] = 10

⇒ [{xy+500} / {x+20}] – [{xy+200}/{ x+20}] = 10  ...... [substituting from (i) & (ii)]

⇒ xy + 500 – xy - 200 = 10 * [x+20]

⇒ 300 = 10x + 200

⇒ 10 x = 300 – 200

⇒ x = 100/10

x = 10

Thus, the no. of literate or educated employees working in the organisation is 10.

Hope this is helpful!!!!
