HI..!

The heart is a muscular pumping organ present in the chest cavity slightly towards the left , enclosed in a double walled sac called the pericardium . A pericardial fluid is present between the pericardium and heart wall .

There are four chambers of the heart,namely,----

i) The right auricle ( atrium) ,

ii) The right ventricle .

iii) The left auricle ( atrium ) ,

iv) The left ventricle

The right and left sides are separated . The right and left auricles are joined to their respective ventricles through right and left auriculo-ventricular aperture. Please find the following diagram .

Thanks....!
