The cofficient of friction between ball and floor is 0.091.

Given,

Initial speed of ball (u) = 15 m/s, horizontal distance (s) = 125 m, final speed of ball (v) = 0 m/s.

To Find,

Cofficient of friction between ball and floor.

Solution,

Let mass of ball = m Kg

Step 1 - Retardation due to Force of Friction

We know that v^2 - u^2 = 2as

a = u^2/2s

a= 15^2/(2*125) = 0.9 m/s^2

Step 2 - Force of Friction

F = m*a = n*m*g, where a is retardation, g is accelaration due to gravity and n is coefficient of friction.

Therefore, we can write

n = a/g

n = 0.9/9.81 = 0.091

Hence, cofficient of friction between ball and floor is 0.091.
