When Red Blood cells are kept in concentrated saline solution then such solution is said to be hypertonic. Hence, exosmosis i.e., water will move from inside to outside of RBC through its cell membrane due to this, RBCs will shrink.

Points To Remember :-

RBCs = Red Blood Cells

WBCs = White Blood Cells
