In brief state what happenwhen:

a)Due to the movement of water inside the cell, it swells up. ... Due to the movement of water outside the cell, it shrinks up. Thus, when dry apricots are left for some time in pure water then they swell due to endosmosis, and later when they are transferred to the sugar solution, they shrink due to exosmosis.

b)If Red Blood Cells are kept in concentrated saline solution. It will lose water due to exosmosis and shrink.

c)the plasma membrane ruptures or breaks down, the cell will not be able to exchange material from its surroundings by diffusion or osmosis because it acts as a mechanical barrier. Thereafter, the protoplasmic material will be disappeared, and the cell will die.

d)When rheo leaves are boiled, this will shrink due to high temperature. The solute content within the leaves will falls out during heating due to osmosis.
