because sperms take genetic information of father to mother's ovem which contain genetic information of mother and they combine to form embryo so they have similarities

in sexual reproduction, 2 different types of DNA, from both parents, mix to form one unique type of DNA. during fusion, certain characteristics are taken from the male parent and others from the female parent. thus, the new cell develops into a unique offspring which displays characteristics of both parents. e.g. a newborn may have the eyes of its mother but may display its fathers nose, etc.
