In cathode ray tube if electron flows from cathode to anode then current direction should be opposite to the flow of electron i.e,from anode to cathode but in ncert it is given as cathode to anode pls explain this

Explanation:

The direction of flow of electrons in electrolytic cells is reversed from the spontanceous direction of electron flow as in galvanic cells,but still the definition of both cathode and anode remains the same reduction takes place at cathode and oxidation takes place at anode.

Electrons flow from cathode to anode.
