Chromosomes are called metacentric , submetacentric, Acrocentric and Telocentric.These are depending on the position of centromere.

Metacentric  --> Centrosome at centre
Submetacentric --> Centrosome near to centre
Acrocentric ---> Centrosome att subterminal
Telocentric ---> Centrosome at terminal

 Metacentric:-A chromosome is said to be metacentric if there is presence of centeromere in centre and are equal in lenght

Submetacentric:-There is slightly centeromere is  slightly offset from the center leading to a slight asymmetry in the length of the two sections.

Acrocentric :-There is centromere which is severely offset from the center leading to one very long and one very short section.

Telocentric :- These chromosome have centromere present in the ends of the chromosomes

For diagram :- Follow the attachment :)
