In complete oxidation of fuel leads to formation of carbon dioxide.

• The fuel materials contain carbon atoms into their chemical structure.

• When, the combustion of such carbon containing fuel materials, take place ,the oxidation happens.

• In this oxidation, the carbon dioxide gas is produced. (This is only applicable for the complete combustion of the fuel materials)

• On the other hand, incomplete combustion of fuel materials leads to the formation of carbon monoxide.
