Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

side of square=14cm

therfore: radius of circle= 7cm

now ar. of square=a*a=14*14=196cm(square)

now ar of 4 quaderent of circle=4*1/4*pie*r*r

                                                  =4*1/4*22/7*7*7

                                                  =154cm(square)

now, ar. of shaded region=196-154

                                           =   42cm(square)

Answer:

ABCD is a square with side 14 cm.

∴ Area of Square ABCD = (side)²

                                             = (14)²

                                            = 196 cm² ------------------- (1)

Consider a circle with point A, It will form a sector with radius = 7 cm and angle ∅ = 90°

∴ Area of Sector = (∅ ÷ 360) × πr²

                         = (90 ÷ 360) × 22 ÷ 7 × 7 × 7

                        = 38.5 cm²

there are 4 such sector

∴ Area of shaded region = Area of Square - (Area of Sector × 4)

                                       = 196 - (38.5 × 4)

                                      = 196 - 154

                                     = 42 cm²

∴ Area of shaded region = 42 cm²
