in diplontic life cycle 3 phases are haploid i.e spores, gametophyte and gametes and only 2 phases are diploid i.e zygote and sporophyte so why it is diplontic life cycle and how it is different from haplodiplontic life cycle? please answer urgently.

Answer:
Duration of sporophyte and zygote is more in life cycle hence it is Diplontic.
It it not depend on how much phases are there.
The organidms body ploidy decides haplontic or Diplontic life cycles.
If organisms body is haploid, and become Diploid only during zygote formation, they have haplontic life cycle.
If organisms body is diploid and gametes are only haploid during gametes formation then life cycle is Diplontic.
