helicase

First, a so-called initiator protein unwinds a short stretch of the DNA double helix. Then, a protein known as helicase attaches to and breaks apart the hydrogen bonds between the bases on the DNA strands, thereby pulling apart the two strands.

DNA - Deoxyribonucleic acid

Deoxyribonucleic acid is a full form of DNA. DNA is composed of Long molecule which are coiled around each other in spiral like shape. DNA carries the genetics instructions and information, functioning, Growth and development, reproduction of all known organisms and some viruses.

DNA Fingerprinting:

DNA fingerprinting is a forensic method to find the individual by the sample of their DNA. As we know that, DNA contains the information about growth, characteristics and proteins. A DNA is very useful for finding criminals and different kinds of people. DNA is also very useful in forensic.

DNA replication:

DNA replication is a complex biological process which is used for producing two same like or identical replicas of DNA from original DNA. The main purpose of DNA replication is to produce two identical DNA copies. DNA replication is a very complex biological process. When any person's hormones become unusable, then the DNA replication is very useful process for it.

The most important information of Growth and development hormones and proteins is stored in DNA. The all information regarding Genetics instructions, growth, reproduction is present inside the DNA.

A DNA is formed by building blocks called as nucleotides. This nucleotides are made of three main parts:

i) Phosphate group,

ii) Sugar group

iii) Nitrogen Base

To form a DNA, various Nucleotides are chained with each other in such a way that, the DNA is formed.

By the sexual reproduction, The DNA from Parents is carried out to the offsprings. When this DNA is stored in the Body of Offspring, then this DNA starts developing. This causes the growth of offspring.

Genes inside our body are of our parents. Genes have information about the growth hormones, proteins and related things in the form of DNA. This are called as proteins. When this proteins starts characterizing, then our body starts developing. And, this is reason, we looks like our parents.

In the natural process of sexual reproduction, If the number of genes from father are more as compared to mother, then the chances are that baby will look like his father. This is same with mother too.

While transferring of genes while sexual reproduction, the copy of genes are stored in the body of parents. And hence, the parents don't lost their genes.

  • The study of genes and characterizing of genes is called as Genetics.
  • DNA stands for Deoxyribonucleic Acid
  • James Watson  found the first DNA in human body
  • The all necessary information regarding growth is present inside the DNA.
