Sodium displaces calcium from an ionic compound and hence it is more reactive. Calcium cannot displace sodium from its compound because it is less reactive. Na is more reactive ( Kinetics) than Ca. Whereas thermodynamically , Ca ( more Standard Oxidation Potential)has more tendency to react till equilibrium.
