In elimination method for simultaneous linear equations, sometimes I get wrong answer by multiplying and making a variable same wheras I get right answer when multiplying another variable of equation same though we could make any variable same in elimination method. Why is it so!?

yes of course we can make any variable same in elimination method and then u have to add or subtract both the the equations if signs are already opposite to each other like -+ then u have to add and signs are same so u have to subtract.....
