In Euler's modified formula, predictor equation correctly written as

y_{t+1 , c}=y_{t}+h*\dfrac{f(x_{t},y_{t})+f(x_{t+1},y_{t+1,p})}{2} .

Explanation:

  • Modified - Euler Method is also referred as Predictor - Corrector Method.
  • For a given differential equation with initial condition we can find the approximate solution using Modified - Euler's Method.

To calculate approximate solution using Modified-Euler's Method we have follow five steps;

  1.  First , the value is predicted for a step.
  2. Then the predicted value is corrected .
  3. The incrementation is done.
  4. Check for continuation , if x_{t}< x_{n} then go to step-1.
  5. Terminate the process.
