No. of girls = 1100
No of boys =2500-1100 =1400

% of boys passed = 50%
no of boys passed = 50/100×1400
=700
%o of girls passed = 40%
no. of girls passed = 40/100×1100
=440
total passed students= 700+440
=1140
failed students = 2500-1140 =1360
% of failed students =1360/2500×100 = 54.4%
