in experiment to determine the boiling point of water ,mention two important precaution to be taken

1) the bulb of thermometer should not touch the sides of the beaker.....to avoid getting wrong readings....as if it will touch then it will also show the readings of the temperature of the beaker......

2) Pumice stone should be added while boiling water.....to avoid bubling of water and also we use it because it absorbs excessive heat....
