3y=2y+25 (Alternate Interior angles are equal)

y=25

3y=x+15 (Corresponding Angles)

3*25=x+15

75=x+15

x=60

Given :  l || m

 

To find :  the value of x

 

Solution :  

Let ∠1 = 3y , ∠2 = 2y + 25° and ∠3 = x + 15°

 

∠1 = ∠2 (Alternate angle)

3y = 2y + 25°

3y -  2y =  25°

y = 25°

∠2 = ∠3 (Vertically opposite angle)

2y + 25° =  x + 15°

 2 (25°) + 25° =  x + 15°

50° + 25° =  x + 15°

75° =  x + 15°

x = 75°- 15°

x = 60°

Hence,  the value of x is 60°.

Among the given options option  (A) 60°  is correct.
