In Fig. , a force \vec F of magnitude 12 N is applied to a FedEx box of mass m2 = 1.0 kg. The force is directed up a plane tilted by ∅ = 37°. The box is connected by a cord to a UPS box of mass m1 = 3.0 kg on the floor. The floor, plane, and pulley are frictionless, and the masses of the pulley and cord are negligible.What is the tension in the cord?

★ As string is same , so tension will remain same

\huge\boxed{Tension\:=\:1.67N}

AnSwEr

m1 = T = 3a ---------- ( 1 )

m2 = F - T = 10a

F sin 37° - 7 = 109

12 × 3 / a - T = 109

7.2 - 3a = 109

7.2 = 139

a = 7.2 / 13 ------------ ( 2 )

Adding values - ( 1 ) & ( 2 )

T = ( 3 × 7.2 ) / 13 = 1.67 N

Look into the attachment for diagram.
