in fig ABCDEF is a hexagon. AD is a diagonal and BM , CP, EN and FL are the respective distance from the point B, C, E ,F from AD .
if AD =600cm , BM =140cm, CP =120cm , FL=160cm , EN =100cm, AL = 200cm , AM = 250cm ,AN=360 cm, AP = 400cm.
find the area of the hexagon

Area of hexagon
= sum of the areas of AMB, MBCP, PCD, DNE, ENLF and ALF

Area 
= 0.5x250x140 + 0.5(140+120)150 + 0.5x200x120 + 0.5x240x100 + 0.5(160+100)160 + 0.5x200x160

= 17500+19500+12000+12000+20800+16000

= 97800 cm²
