Sure.

In the upper half of the plane, we know the sum of the angles must be 180°. So,

x/2 + 5x/2 - 5 + x + 9 = 180°

From here we get,

x = 176/4 = 44°

Remember that External Angle Theorum? I hope you do. So

a + b = Notice that external angle
=> a + b = 180° - ( x + 9) = 180° - 53° = 127°
