x + y = 30 (1)

x - y = 14 (2)

Adding (1) and (2) we will get

x + y + x - y = 30 + 14

=> 2X = 44

=> X = 44/ 2

=>X = 22

Putting value of X = 22 in equation (1)

X + Y = 30

=> 22 + Y = 30

=> Y = 30- 22

=> Y = 8 .

Hence the value of x and y are 22 and 8 respectively .

AB = CD

and BC = AD

AB = CD

x + y = 30 ..... (1)

BC = AD

x - y = 14 .....(2)

ADD EQUATION (1) (2)

2x = 44

x = \bf\huge\frac{44}{2}

Substitute the value in Equation 1

22 + y = 30

y = 30 - 22

y = 8

x = 22 cm and y = 8 cm
